A huge success for this year’s Margaret River Readers and Writers Festival – Words Uncorked and particularly the Behind the Label sessions sponsored by the club.

From 4 primary schools, 1078 children attended sessions at the Cultural Centre with Andy Griffiths, author of such gems as the 26 Story Tree House and many other more irreverent titles, all of which proves why he is a successful children’s author; he appeals to the ridiculous in their creativity and sense of humour. He held them spellbound with stories and ideas for creative writing and how writing and story-telling and publishing happen, speaking without a microphone to packed halls while the children drank in every word.
