This week the club met at the Margaret River Public Library, where Jodie Porter gave members a guided tour of the library. The Library is part of the State Library of West Australia network of public libraries with access to a state wide collection through inter-library loans. The Library has a huge variety of e-sources, including books, e-books, e-magazines, online data bases, movies and much more.

There are government reports, local history, computing services, travel information, word processing and free use of public access internet computers for all over 50s. There is an organic garden where people can relax and enjoy at leisure.
Jodie walked us through the amazing progress of the Library from totally manually checked in and out books to the automated process in place today.
There is a BE Connected service operating within a government grant giving device tutoring to the over 50s.You can have a personal tutor giving you three one hour sessions that will cover your particular area of interest and expertise. Jodie explained the catalogue with resources including the cloud library online.
Rachael also gave us an update on Reading Rabbits and Book Bandicoots programmes which are jointly run with the Rotary club.
