Shayla Meiklejohn has been inducted this week as a new member of the Rotary Margaret River.Shayla’s background is assisting disadvantaged and disabled youth. Before coming to Margaret she has worked in Broome with Broome Aboriginal Legal Service, particularly with children in the Youth Crime area.
President Brian was pleased to invite Shayla to join Rotary because it is evident that she will observe the ethos of Service Above Self and contribute in a positive way to the fellowship of the club - people concerned about people. Secretary Marilyn presented Shayla with her club badge and Rotary pin.
Shayla has kindly consented to join the club Youth Committee as her interest lies in that area. Shayla is married to husband Rowan.
