Each year Margaret River Rotarians and other community volunteers conduct a job interview exercise with year 12 students from the school’s vocational studies program.

The 2013 interviews were held from the 27th to 29th August. With 34 interviewers on 12 panels based at various locations around the town a total of 41 students were interviewed on a range of careers including construction, media and print, sports, and clerical.

The School provides suggested questions and an outline of objectives. Pupils come with a folder of their achievements together with a letter of application for a hypothetical job.

All the students who participate in the interviews receive feedback from the community volunteer interviewers in a wide range of businesses.

Each interview takes about 20 minutes after which the students are graded and useful tips provided to the students about how to be successful in job interviews.

Thanks to the following for providing venues for the interviews. Middletons, McAuliffe Legal, The Shire, and Stocker Preston.
