Science Experience

Science Experience is a weekend in Perth during January for students entering year 11; they meet other students from around the state with similar interests and experience a range of science topics with experts in the field.

Latest Update

The Science Experience 2013 was held at Curtin Uni over four days in January. Participants sponsored by Rotary Margaret River were Phoebe Smith, Tabitha Dowding, Allira McLean and Jasmin Thompson. Phoebe, Tabitha and Allira spoke about how the visit broadened their ideas about science, especially as a university study prospect. The girls were separated into different groups and this helped them meet new people. The format of hands on interactive fun and practical experiments with matter like polymer snow, cool goo and astronomy included meeting lecturers. All agreed it was an enjoyable experience that opened up new options for science study at school this year and for the future.
